Day 9 - Cut Bank, MT to Avalanche Creek, Glacier National Park, MT

With no risk of hyperbole, Glacier National Park is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Ever. Every bend in the road presents a new, stunning vista. It would be wrong to say that it is awe-inspiring. That is too weak. The park compels your awe. It is so beautiful it makes you want to cry. Rather than try to describe the grandeur, I'm just going to post pictures. Just know that while a picture may convey a sense of what the park looks like, the experience of being in the park, surrounded by its magnificence, is incapable of being framed. First, here was Sunday's route:

Now the pics, in an order of going deeper into the park.

I haven't had internet access in the park at all since I arrived. That's why I have been absent in my posting. But today I came into Canada to see the adjacent Canadian Waterton National Park. I found a small cafe with wireless, but the internet is being persnickety, so I won't be able to upload more than the first day of Glacier's photos. I'll update again as soon as I can with even more. One more night (of 3) in Glacier, then it's on to Yellowstone!
