For anyone keeping track, the states visited so far are New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
My first stop was in Zanesville, OH, where I promptly got lost. But in getting lost, I ran across the county courthouse, a rather elegant building. I've always loved small county courthouses, and perhaps now that I'm a lawyer (albeit not officially), I'm even more attracted to them. Temples of government, or some such thing.
Just north of Cincinnati, I saw this license plate. All I could think was that she should probably get that checked out.
Well it wasn't the only thing I could think of. There are plenty of jokes there, which I'll leave to your imagination. Just south of Cincinnati in Kentucky, I saw a sign for the Creation Museum. I was tempted because I want to learn about how humans and dinosaurs coexisted. On the other hand, I in no way wanted to pay real money to get in or support their crazy ideas. I kept driving. Luckily, they have an online presence...
Moments later, I saw this in Greendale, IN. I wonder if minorties have to pay full price.
I'm going to be in Bloomington for two nights. I may take some pics of the town tomorrow and post them. Plans for the next day on the road: Lincoln home in Springfield, IL and probably camping in Iowa.
I cannot BELIEVE you passed up a chance to go the Creation Museum!!
